Haematology Transplant Centre at San Martino Hospital (Genoa)

The New Haematology Transplant Centre at the San Martino Polyclinic Hospital in Genoa is a healthcare facility of crucial importance for Liguria and the whole of Italy. Opened in March 2026, it marks the opening of a highly specialised centre dedicated to cancer and haematology patients.

The project, entirely funded by AIL Genova (Italian Association against Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma) with an investment of approximately €2 million, is located on the second floor of Pavilion 6.

The area covers 790 m² and has been designed to ensure the most rigorous environmental and clinical safety standards, which are essential for treating patients with highly compromised immune systems. The Centre has 16 single filter rooms, each designed to maximise protection and environmental isolation.

The meticulous selection of technical partners for the installation of these state-of-the-art areas led to the choice of Kariba, a guarantee of Italian quality and innovation in plant engineering solutions. The integration of Kariba products reflects the need to adopt solutions that guarantee durability, hygiene and ease of maintenance in a highly sensitive hospital environment. The Kariba products chosen for this facility are:

  • Smartika 6E concealed cistern: a system solution that combines efficiency and performance. This concealed cistern stands out for its installation versatility and flexibility in adjusting the flush volume (4.5/6 litres).
  • Kariba flush plates that combine essential functionality in healthcare settings with refined aesthetics.
  • Kariba accessories to complete the technical set-up.
