Vimercate hospital
Vimercate Hospital Complex is not only a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, but also an architectural masterpiece designed by renowned architect Mario Botta.
Opened on 30 October 2010, the hospital complex covers a total area of 113,000 square metres, spread over three floors above ground and two below, representing a modern landmark for the entire area.
This location boasts a thousand-year history: it was founded as a shelter for pilgrims in 833 with the ancient name of “L’Hospitale di San Damiano”.
To ensure maximum reliability, durability and attention to water saving in a high-traffic environment such as a hospital, the bathrooms of the Nuovo Presidio di Vimercate have been equipped with Kariba flush cisterns.
